Rolling Stones At The Max
It’s fair to say they rock. You could also say they roll. They sometimes even go off the rails…but there’s no doubt about it The Rolling Stones are one of the greatest rock bands the world has ever seen.
Join us as we bring the legends of rock back to IMAX with the relaunch of Rolling Stones At The Max. The first ever feature length concert movie to be shot using IMAX cameras, it is a showcase of the group with their cult like following as they rock out on stage, doing it in the way that only they can.
Filmed over five nights in July and August 1990 during the final leg of the Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle tour, Rolling Stones To The Max captures the euphoria of the live event as Jagger, Richards, Woods and Watts blast out 16 of the best live on stage. As expected the concert has it all; grandeous and expensive props, explosive fireworks, a hysterical crowd and the high energy, frenetic antics of Mick Jagger as he jumps and gyrates across the stage. All of it captured on the giant IMAX screen.
The Rolling Stones appeal is universal, their sound their own and their story unique. And unless you can see them live, there’s no better way than at IMAX Melbourne Museum!
